BRC provides certification for food manufacturers who implement good manufacturing practices and have the supporting quality management systems to produce safe, legal product meeting their customer's quality requirements. This certification can be applied to any food processing or packing operation where open food is handled, processed or packed. This may range from primary products such as fresh produce pack houses and slaughter houses through to processed foods, canneries and high risk ready to eat products. In some sectors such as fresh produce, guideline documents are available to assist with interpretation.

IFS

(International Food Standard)

The IFS Food Standard is internationally recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative. It is designed to ensure that IFS-certified companies can deliver products that comply with specific client’s product specifications and local and international legislation to ensure safety and quality for consumers.

EN ISO 9001:2000

EN ISO 9001:2000 gives the requirements for quality management systems, is now firmly established as the globally implemented standard for providing assurance about the ability to satisfy quality requirements and to enhance customer satisfaction in supplier-customer relationships.

We take very often for quality testing representative samples of fruits from a particular block of trees and check for the attributes. In the case of juice extraction, the fruit is squeezed from the sample fruit and the juice is tested for two main attributes, brix (total soluble solids) and acid.
